Personally when shifting through forward to reverse it will always be at
idle. Also when shifting through I try to stop in neutral for a couple of
seconds and then into gear. Once in gear I will play the rpm to give me the
effect I desire, that can be in the higher rpms. Twins or single engine
configurations
For me changing the gears above idle is a no no. Raising horse power above
skill level is also a no no < grin>. Other than that its all good from my
experience.
