snip...If you have or install one of these things, you will have to add a circuit to allow forcing the pump to run, bypassing the sensor. Otherwise, you can find yourself with pumps that for all intents and purposes don't work. If this happens at night in a storm, you may not have time to curse or find the cause, or fix it. endsnip....
I would think in addition to the bypass (or maybe just in place of) you could install a second higher capacity pump which (if activated by it's non-oil discriminating sensor) would also sound an alarm....
