My experience this summer:
GSM (Cingular) works pretty much all the way up to Port Hardy and Blunden
Harbour, except for some of the Johnson Strait etc area between Campbell River
and Port McNeill. Northwest of Blunden, there's no GSM coverage in BC. I
haven't yet checked out GSM in SE AK.
It seemed to me that CDMA (Verizon, Telus) folks could get coverage in at least
two areas where I could not: Lagoon Cove, and the Prince Rupert area. I'm not
certain, but I don't think any CDMA coverage exists between Blunden Harbour and
the PR area.
