We purchased the National Access aircard and Verizon's Broadband service for
$60/month (price for Verizon cell phone customers) about a month ago. It
has worked near shore (in Verizon digital areas) from Portland to Annapolis
and is a wonderful addition to the boat. No more searching for wireless
signals or carting the computer ashore and no more timed sessions in public
libraries :-) Even better than that, we no longer have to listen to Perfect
Paul, Donna and Craig (NOAA's synthetic voices). We now have their written
script for our areas earmarked as favorite sites and can bring weather and
hurricane info up on the screen in less than a minute.
