When I first bought this trawler I put in Dekas. After a year and a month
they would not hold a charge. I was in the Chesapeake and I called Deka in
Baltimore, they said too bad the only guarantee them 12 months and were pretty
snippy. I replaced them in Tolchester, MD, with Rolls, I had six deka golf
carts and I gained 300 amp hrs with the rolls in the same foot print, just
taller. I have had the Rolls over a year and they are great, They are
guaranteed 7 years. Be sure to get the special caps so you don't have to check the
water. Miller Marine installed them for free and did a great job. 410-778
5951. No affiliation just a satisfied customer. They are expensive but it isn't
only the expense but the hassle of putting them in and taking them out. Not
something I want to do annually.
