Sanford, how much do they charge for this? Is it the $9.95 per month
they ask for "Weather Scout"? And do they provide a link to marine
weather? They just tell you the subscription fee will show up on your
bill, but not what it is. Also somewhat confusing is that on the main
site, they say they are not ready for wireless devices yet.. Takes a
little doing to figure it out you are supposed to try the "mobile
version".
mobile.wunderground seems to have the same features, plus marine
weather, and tides (for the area covered by the selected marine
forecast), and storm tracking and it is free.
If I can figure out what the value added features are with these guys,
it's something we could sell! (My company is a Cingular reseller).
Thanks
George

Subject: T&T: cell phone weather
Stephen, I use a service on my cell phone called "My-Cast". The link is
www.my-cast.com . I get up to the minute radar loops that really help
when deciding when to leave port or make a run for home, etc... Also
gives local weather observations and forcasts. I really got to
appreciate this service a few weeks ago when my wife and I were planning
to leave an anchorage and I was able to avoid a nasty thunderstorm
heading toward us from across the bay. Just stayed put until I could see
the radar image indicated a clear window to cross. A great boating tool.
Good luck. Sandy Kramer
