I concur with Bob on this 1000%. My friends and I were talking about this
topic just a day ago.
>From my own experience, about a year and a half a go I got part of my hand
caught between the chain and the deck while working the anchor. The wind and
current had the chain pulled tight and I was single handing (on board alone).
After several minutes I got myself free with minor damage, but it could have
very, very, easily gone the other way. Scared the heck out of me!
I gained a whole new level of respect for deploying and retrieving the
anchor.
