In Trinidad, On and Off is the favorite chemical brew of the least expensive
day workers (read: careless cleaners and polishers). They brush it on the
stainless and rinse it off before polishing. They like it because they don't
need elbow grease to make the rust go away. It's OK for use on gelcoat, but not
on paint. It must be removed quickly and thoroughly. I have watched, many
times, as the "forgotten" rivulets of On and Off run down the topsides of
"newbie" boats. This stuff removes Awlgrip in a matter of minutes! "Sorry, Skip!"
No slur intended on the Trinis. There are some excellent workers and
craftsmen there. But, you get what you pay for.

    Regards,
