IMHO Taiwan Trawler Issues on older boats - Iron Tanks, quality of wiring,
plywood cores for deck and house, thin glass.
Hatteras - Balsa core decks, everything else fiberglass including all tanks.

There are no better builders of fiberglass boats, IMHO

Make sure cored decks have not been compromised by previous owners.
Otherwise make sure the equipment has been maintained. The LRC's have full
displacement hull, most have stabilization.

I am, only draw back to me is they are too noisy. Otherwise the DDs are
simple engines, 2 stroke, fully mechanical, cheap to operate, parts
everywhere, re-builds about $2500 per hole. no high pressure pump,
circulate lots of fuel. Mine don't slobber with Racor CCVs.
The HAtteras LRC owners have an active club. You can find more info at
WWHatterasLRC.com for more info, Hatteras LRC for sale, and other Club info.
