Dear list -
Lurking for several months has revealed a great reservoir of knowledge and
experience. I hope I'm not violating list protocol by jumping right in with
questions without any introduction, but I need advice: I want to bid on a boat
that may very well need re-powering right off. I will also need somewhere to
take it to work on it. I have an abundance of time and energy and am fairly
handy, but a little short on experience.
So. . . If I do all the work myself within my capabilities, what would a
replacement for a Lehman 120 cost? Any recommendations for a source for new,
used or rebuilt? With that knowledge I can bid accordingly.
The boat is on the hard in a storage yard in Fort Myers. I'm not familiar with
the area, but don't believe I can keep it where it is (will check out the area
next week). I would appreciate any ideas or suggestions as to where I might
move it in that area and if anyone knows of any trustworthy mechanic nearby.
Thanks for any feedback! I hope to actually meet some of you, if I ever get
this dream beyond my armchair.
- Tom
