Reply: Bob, I installed the Glendinning EEC 3 years ago, and it is by far the best addition I have made to Irish Ayes, and I've made a few. The model I have allows for adding engine controls at more than one station, almost a plug and play set up. So, in addition to the engine controls I had at the Fly(ing) Bridge (don't yell at me for getting that one wrong), I now have engine controls on the aft deck and now have a lower control station as well, which I didn't have before. Some voice a concern that if you lose your batteries or electronic capabilities you will also lose EEC, but Glendinning allows for original cable control at one of the EEC stations, which allows for either EEC or manual cable control. I chose to have that at the original control station on the flying bridge, or upper station.

As I said, I've had it installed for three years and haven't had the first peep of trouble. It took some work on my part to run the hard-wires, and mount the control boxes, but Glendinning sent an engineer to inspect and fine tune the installation. I couldn't be happier with this product. I have no connection to Glendinning, other than they have my money and I have their product.
