A Digital Antenna MBR cell phone booster is installed in my Nordhavn 47,
which is the most recent N47 shipped from the factory and is now being
commissioned. For the record, this equipment is not standard equipment
or a Nordhavn option on Nordhavn 47s, but you can certainly spec one
through your electronics dealer it if you'd like it installed. Like
most of my electronics, mine was installed at the factory, so perhaps
that's from whence the confusion arises.
For the record, DA stressed to me the same thing Gregg Hann mentioned:
VERTICAL separation is most important in trying to attain 40 feet of
separation between the two antennas. If you cannot achieve the 40 feet
of separation recommended by DA, I am told that DA can attenuate the
gain on the small antenna if you return the unit to them, but I suggest
contacting DA about that before uninstalling and shipping your unit.
My external antenna is being mounted on the mast. I'm hopeful that the
SSB ground--copper screen just below the pilot house roof-- will help
attenuate the signal from the small antenna and help serve as a
counterpoise for the external cellular antenna.

Ron Rogers passed me an e-mail indicating that the (Digital Antenna cell phone booster) MBR is now standard equipment on the Nordhavn 47, FWIW.
