I've used PVC a LOT in plumbing sanitation systems in boats, but always put
a "soft" connection evey once in a while to absorb vibration so it wouldn't
crack.
However, you're talking about using it in a seawater situation where a crack
could sink the boat. I wouldn't do it! At all! No way! On A/C systems, I
always use the clear reinforced tubing. Works very well and probably easier
than PVC.
