Nancy,
We use the 6 volt Stowaway batteries. We used to buy the Trojan 105's for
around $78 each. When we monitored the rv, trawlers, and other forums many
folks were having very good success with the Stowaway. Our Sam's has them
also for $48 each (plus $7 core fee). Big difference versus the Trojans. We
have 12 in our boat. 8 have been in use for over a year and the specific
gravity is still spot on after charging with our Freedom 2000. The main
thing that several people have mentioned is keep the water maintained
(distilled only), try not to discharge them deeper than 50%, and keep them
charged properly. I will know a lot more after another year relative to
their longevity.

We just found Sam's Stowaway Golf
Cart Batteries @$48 each yesterday.
We need 8 new ones. Has anyone used these batteries. Have heard buy cheap
batteries replace them in 2 years, buy the best and replace them in 2.5
years. There is always one to go bad is the rumor.
