To my knowledge, both the 42 & 48 LRC's were originally equipped with Detroit
4x53's only. Like Sam suggests in his post, I agree that the 136 must be a
reference to HP rating?
The Detroits can have their HP rating's changed by changing out the injector
sizes. While I have only heard of ratings of 128hp and 112hp (which is the
rating of my engines), I suppose 136hp is possible. The Detroits are noisy
and leak oil but with proper care are near bullet-proof.
