Why add more wires to the boat? A buddy of mine outfitted with a 5.8ghz home
wireless phone system that has intercom and remote handset speaker phone.
Ran about 200 bucks at Costco, Panasonic. Added benefit is it is hooked to a
Dock 'n Talk (Disclaimer, my company is a distributor for the Dock 'n Talk) so
now his cell phone is answerable/dialable throughout the boat. He wears it on
a belt clip so is easily accessible if away from the helm. Uniden has a nice
one too that allows you to load your contacts in from Outlook, like some cell
phones do, and has Bluetooth for hands free. . Check 'em out.
