>From page 22: in the latest, online version of the manual. My manual reads
the same, wherever I put it.
"Recommendation:
Charge the supplied battery pack for a maximum of
up to 10 hours. Li-Ion batteries are different from Ni-
Cd batteries in that it is not necessary to completely
charge and discharge them to prolong the battery life.
Therefore, charging the battery in intervals, and not
for extended periods is recommended."
Page 22:
"AVOID leaving the battery pack in a fully charged, or completely
discharged condition for long time. It causes shorter
battery life. In case of leaving the battery pack unused for a
long time, it must be kept safely after discharge, or use the
battery until the battery indicator shows the middle level, then
remove it from the transceiver."
Page 23:
"3. Insert the battery pack with/without the transceiver into the
charger.
. The charge indicator lights green.
4. Charge the battery pack approx. 9-10 hours, depending
on the remaining power condition."
Note, it says that when you insert the battery pack, "The charger indicator
lights green."
It says nothing about the light going out or changing color. Are you sure
you don't have the more expensive desktop charger? I wish I did.

|I don't find any such language in the manual. What page? Perhaps
different
| versions? Of manual? Or radio? Not sure. By the way, I went to the
| trouble of measuring the output from the charger and find no voltage and
no
| current being passed once the LED is glowing.
