Having recently purchased a PT 42 in California, one of the projects that
needed attention was the anchor windlass; a Nilsson V1000 model of about
1993 vintage. I have researched the matter and learned a lot about these
out-of-production units such as the 12V drive motors are an older Lucas
model not to be found these days, but can be re-built, the motor is locked
on with a secret pin, the gear housing assembly dis-assembly technique, and
source for compatable oil/grease. I'll be happy to provide parts breakdown
drawings and suggestions for overhaul to anyone in need.
