We too, find the PDQ 43 powercat very appealing -- hard to beat 15 kt criuse
on 5 gal/hr, and a smooth ride to boot.

For first-hand evaluation purposes, we've booked a charter next week on the
FL West coast (through _Sunsail_ (http://www.sunsail.com/powercats/index.html)
). We'll post our thoughts here in a couple of weeks.

Most folks we've talked to say the 16'- 10" beam is seldom a problem,
particularly as a transient. Several owners take their boats up and down the ICW
annually w/o problem, here's one of them:

Look on the bright side, think of all the places you can anchor with that
    2'- 4" draft!

    Happy New Year!
