How much gas do the listees actually use h> while live aboard? In other
words, should I plan on a double 10# locker or 20# h> bottles or what do the
    listees think?

I'd go for a 20# tank and expect it to last close to a year....
However, once you have propane aboard you may wish to consider back up heat
in case your primary heating fails. A CAT catalyic heater (6,000 BTU) for one
cabin heating is an option ($500, draws 1 amp) , a mid size Surburban (hot air)
heater, say 28,000 BTU ($500, draws only 6 amps) can prevent freezing for
extended periods and warm the boat in milder weather and Dickensen also makes
    propane cabin heaters ($600??)

I've had a surburban aboard my last two boats and use it as winter backup and
also to take dampness.chills out in mornings when cruising Maine. Within 30
seconds of starting warm dry air is produced....

If any of the above is of interest, a larger tank may be appropriate. Also if
you choose dual tanks, a crossover valve will automatically access a back up
tank when the primary empties...Use an RV camper supply its a lot less
expensive than the same thing from a "marine" store....
