One thing the USCG had us all on the lookout for was people buying fast
boats with GPS and autopilots. I suppose they were worried about somebody
setting up a course, loading the boat with explosives and sending it up the
ship channel. OTOH, I suppose they would just pilot the thing themselves and
go straight to Allah. I suppose we should be curious if we see someone
loading a boat up with ammonium nitrate fertilizer.
The practical side of this GPS thing is... how fast can someone react and do
something with the system when they recognize there's a threat? Probably not
fast enough.
