    Larry,
Thank you for your reply. Its close to what I'm trying to determine but I
think I'll have to keep looking.
When you say "However without specifying the size and
weight of the boat, the amount of slip and the efficiency cannot be
calculated" that kind of blows it for what I want.
I'm trying to determine if, regardless of what it is attached to and what is
turning it, propeller pitch influences thrust efficiency.
I was/am hoping for some data that might spell out that "X" dia x "Y" pitch
produces "A" thrust at "R" rpms.
We know that theoretically "X" dia. x "2Y" pitch at "R/2" rpms should move
at the same speed. Say "V" ft./min. But will one produce more thrust than
    the other at zero ft./min?

As I read your post again it may be closer to what I'm looking for than I
first thought. You refer to static thrust. That is what I believe I want.
The thrust without linear movement. Where can I find the formulas which give
you the numbers you developed for your theoretical boat?

    Thanks again,
    Bill
