    Joe,

I have both solid Sunbrella and see-thru Textilene covers that were recently made for every window on my Marine Trader 44, but they are separate covers.

There are times (and particular windows) for which both types of covers would be useful. For example, for the forward windows, and some of the side windows, I had both types of covers made. Obviously, you have to remove and change out the type you want. Pain to store, etc.

I leave on the Textilene see-thru covers for the forward windows which allows for emergency operation and watching interesting boat traffic. If I were to pull into a marina bow first, and wanted privacy, or had direct sunlight beating onto my computer screen, I would swap out to the solid covers.

I have a suggestion that might save you some money and be convenient in the long run. Design a cover with solid Sunbrella borders, about 3" wide, with a Textilene center (Watch out for exact color match as "Navy" in Sunbrella is something different in Textilene.) Then have a solid Sunbrella flap made that can roll up and be tucked out of the way with Velcro, i.e., one cover that serves all conditions. I would have done this if I had not already made my solid Sunbrella covers.

Hope this info is useful. It certainly seems like a way to get more convenience from your covers, and save some material costs as well.

    Martin
