think I was comparing similar horns. Prices are not given.
Interestingly, Kahlenberg gives a much longer audible distance versus
the Airchime. Airchime gives 900 meters while Kahlenberg talks miles?
Being as how the people who need to hear your horns the most are going
to be inside the pilothouses of their go-fast boats with all external
sound drowned out by their engines, radios, and stereo going full blast,
the only real use for a fancy set of air-horns any more is to blow them
in the marina so everyone can hear what a fancy set of air-horns you
have. So you could save some money if you wanted by laminating a nice
full-size photo of a set of Kahlenbergs or whatever and mounting it on
the side of your flying bridge, and then sticking your head out the
pilothouse door and saying "beep" every couple of minutes when you're in
fog. The effectiveness as far as traffic avoidance will be the same,
and you'll have all that extra money to put toward a better radar....:-)
