Hi Carl,
I had no idea about that! When I got this boat and read the Lugger manual I
was astounded that they wanted distilled water and wondered why they worry
about liner and water pump impeller cavitation! Guess it must be that engine
components, like cereal boxes, are getting thinner all the time. Bean-counters
again! I'd guess that straight-from-the-watermaker water would be OK...?
Anybody
know about that?

That was how they had the original fairly long time/milage till anti freeze
change. Unfortunately thats when the problems start. What water did what
party use at the change time or the first time your engine was worked on or

...I've seen local water in areas of the country that would eat up a sink
faucet in a year, and someone put that stuff in an engine. Once this has been
done
the advantage of the distilled use is forever lost.
BTW there are/were two types of anti freeze recommended (now three with the
orange stuff 1996 & >) depended on whether the engine was all cast iron, or
had aluminum componants etc.
Any additional on my part would have to get to detailed.
