I have used reinforced auto hoses on the boat circulating water system and
intake--and regular hoses on boat heater systems.
People are talking about high suction pressures. Most of my boats have the
engine at or below the waterline. There is a lot of flow, but I doubt if
there is much vacuum pulled, unless there is an obstruction.
