First of all the cooling system on an automobile is a sealed system
therefore the whole system is under pressure. Secondly the pump is a
circulating pump and makes a very weak 'water pump' as in the area of a
impellor pump which is a good 'water pump'. Worked on auto's truck's etc.
the better part of my early life and traveled all over this country all my
life and have never come across a bottom radiator hose that sucked shut or
failed. The bottom hose either has a wire coil insert or molded in wire
