    Ah - the sanctity of things "marine."

    Automobile radiator hoses are far tougher than you might imagine. They have
    to withstand heat, pressure, and vibration while conducting liquid hotter than
    the boiling point of water loaded with toxic chemicals. Handling raw water is
    a piece of cake. No temperature extremes, no pressure, just water with a bit
    of salt.
