I think Bob Austin nailed it when he stated he doubted that current boat
losses have been taken into account in recalculating premiums. My BOATUS
policy came up foe renewal last week and was up 12.5 percent from last year.
I consider myself lucky. Next year maybe really bad. I am really
interested in some form of liability-only insurance because I can
financially (certainly not emotionally) handle the loss of my paid-for boat,
but I couldn't handle a big pollution or damage liability suit.
