Good afternoon,
First before someone jumps in about not discussing computer viruses on
the list, please remember that this is part of my job on the help team.
Over the last 2 days I've received a copy of a variant of the W32 Bagle
worm in an e-mail attachment twice. It claims to be from:
That's the first clue since the current address for the list is:
Second clue is that the "Subject" field doesn't begin with "T&T".
Third clue is that the e-mail contains an attachment at all since the
list software is set to strip off all attachments!
All we can say for sure is that somewhere in the world a computer, that
has an old copy of a message from the list or has visited the old
website prior to the last time it's web browser history was cleared, is
infected. T&T List is still very secure - it's the Internet that's
dangerous.
So compute safe out there folks - keep your A/V software updated and
don't open attachments you aren't expecting!
