By the time the nylon snubber lines breaks the chain will be almost
completely loaded, minus the strength of the snubber line. It would seem
that a low strength snubber is preferable to one whose strength matches the
strength of the chain. After all if the snubber breaks, the chain is then
subjected to the extra strain that the snubber was holding.
