We have friends who have a handicapped daughter. Last spring we anchored up
in company with them one night. Our Krogen Manatee has a "tailgate", hinged
at the bottom, rather than a conventional transom door with side-mounted
hinges. We were able to bring her aboard our boat from their dingy by
bringing the dingy directly up to the tailgate. She was thrilled. Her mom
told us that they get offers to come boat visiting but usually can't do it
because they have no way to get her aboard.
