I appreciate the responses I have been getting regarding chain claws. The
thing that concerns me is their holding strength. They seem to be designed
for on deck use to retain chains, I am trying to find one that I can use
with my nylon snubber line. On that subject it seems to be the snubber line
should be the same strength/diam as one's nylon rode, using a light snubber
would appear to invite a potentially catastrophic load on the chain should
    it break.

If anyone has pictures and working load capacities of the various Devils
claws could they email me direct? Thanks.
