I fought for a year to get my insurance company to pay for one. Finally
after two appeals they broke down and paid. We were in a marina in Savanna the
same day we got our mail from the insurance company agreeing to pay for one.
I walked up the dock and there was a salesman from Cintas Medical Supply
going from Marina to Marina selling, among other things defibrillators. He had
a unique one that is called a grab and go. It comes in a canvas bag and
includes not only the defib but also an oxygen bottle and some other emergency
stuff. The cost including tax was 2BUs. It is great to have aboard. My wife
is a retired Flight Attendant, while she was flying they had a pax go into
cardiac arrest and the defib on board saved his life. So they do work. My
wife got an award from the airline for her part in the rescue. The # I have for
Cintas is 877 973 2811. No affiliation, just a satisfied customer who so
far has not used their product but has it aboard.
