About four years ago on a trip across the gulf from Clearwater to
Apalachicola we had a gull alight on our dingy that was in Weaver davits. It
sat there a few minutes and then after flying around the boat a few times
returned to the same place again.
Six hours later we entered the bay at Dog Island and anchored just at dark.
It was still there and stayed all night. When we awoke the next AM it was
there but flew away as soon as my wife went to the cockpit to get a closer
    look.
    We still talk about "Peaty".
    Bill
