Not true.
Promotion and solicitation by the marine trade continues to be
prohibited on the List. All I mentioned last week was that providing
straightforward information, in response to a question, was
acceptable. After all, the List is an information medium.
The restriction on commercial activity is aimed specifically at folks
in the trade, ie, those with a vested interest in the product or
service being discussed.
There is nothing new here. This is the rule and interpretation that
have guided the List since Day One.
