Paul,
An important point to ponder, which I suspect Mike didn't realize, is that
while using your WiFi system to grant others access the internet, it in no
way grants them access to your ISP nor your account with your ISP. Thus
they do NOT gain access to your email account, and do not have any greater
access to send SPAM or otherwise contaminate the system than they would
sitting at home. I feel you are to be applauded for your gracious decision
to share your WiFi internet access, and not slammed, incorrectly, as
supporting spammers.

Subject: T&T: RE: WiFi Security
This is really not a boat thread I suppose but here goes anyway.... :)
Bad people will always find a way to do bad things.
If a spammer uses my wifi connection to spam people, that's sad, but there
it is. Closing my wifi connection and not letting the people around me have
internet connectivity is an extreme answer. I don't have the complete
answer, but ponder this, if no one responded to spam email, wouldn't it go
away? Spammers are sending spam because it WORKS. So if everyone would just
ignore it, it would stop.
