Jeffrey, thanks for the WiFi info.

Did you say what service you currently use? I am considering subscribing
to the T-Mobile service and I wonder how useful it really is. Looks good
if you drink a lot of coffee. :)

<minor rant>As for using unsecured, ad-hoc wifi networks, THAT'S "good
stuff". At home I have an 802.11g hub that I have specifically NOT
secured so that my neighbors or anyone in the vicinity can use it. I am
having Comcast high speed internet access installed at my slip in
Beverly, I will install an 802.11g hub there as well and leave it open
for general use. Why not? Share and share alike. :) Most people cruise
the web and read email, I have plenty of bandwidth for that. Does anyone
have any experience regarding other open wifi hot spots? Does anyone
else leave their wireless hubs open? </minor rant>
