I have been testing the import of marks(waypoints). There is a program on
the web called GSAK which will output a .mxf file and which can download
your waypoints from your GPS. With some tweaking it will output a .mxf file
with reasonable labels and the locations seem to be pretty close to the
expected locations. However, the following problems occur:
    1. Every single mark must be manually acknowledged during the "importing"
    into Outdoor Navigator.
    2. If you want to delete "a set of" marks which have been imported, they
must be deleted one by one.
    3. When attempting to import about 900 marks(about 90K), O.N. went berserk.
It imported about 50 or so and then apparently quit importing. While this
was happening, very rapidly I might add, it needed absolutely no help from me.

Getting rid of them was a pain and I have not tried importing any large
number since. I may need a tranquilizer before trying more than about 100
    or so.

The limitation where no more than 100 charts could be loaded on a Memory
    Card appears to be fixed.

Until the import mark system works a little more smoothly I would not
expect to get any great use out of the mark system.

    Regards,
