Is anyone successfully using the Delorme Earthmate USB GPS (2004) with a
laptop and The Capn Mosaic ver 7.3. I can't seem to get the GPS to "turn on"
and send the data without running either the Delorme Streets software or the
GPS Test utility that came with the unit.
When the Earthmate unit turns on from the Delorme software the LED on the
unit flashes red an number of tines (about 4-6) then Yellow (2-D fix) then
green (3-D fix).
When I plug it in (USB) after the Capn has booted up and is stable all I get
is 7 red flashes of the led and then nothing.
When I try to run them in tandem (Mosaic and GPS Test) I get an error message
form Mosaic that Com 6 is already in use by another program.
I have installed the 3rd party drivers from Delorme and tried the fixes on
there web site all to no avail.
I have also contacted both Delorme and Capn support and have not received a
solution.
