Joe,
I hate to disagree with you but I own four modern laptops, two purchased
within the last year. None draws more than 45 watts, even when writing DVDs and
powering accessory equipment through the USB ports. The latest J. C. Whitney
catalog lists at least a dozen 150 watt DC to AC inverters which could supply the
required power. Most cost less than $40.
A laptop drawing 150 watts would be too hot to hold on your lap.
