    Rich,

    Last year during Isabele, a friend with an older Mainship 40 Pilothouse lost about half of his teak swim platform. He opted for a new one built by PlasTeak... the plastic teak-looking material. It was assembled just like the original from strips of PlasTeak to the same dimensions as the original teak platform.

    If I were looking for a replacement, I'd seriously consider this material. No, it's not as pretty as real teak wood, but it's not bad-looking and it's zero maintenance!... gotta love that.
