One more reason I chose to have a genset and use several small inverters
around the boat to run things. I have a cold plate refrigeration system, so
I have to run the genset 2-3 hours daily, and we do anything that requires
electricity then if possible. Propane cooking takes care of a lot of the
energy requirements. I can use the 12V TV if we just HAVE to watch
something, and the little inverters take care of the rest. If one fails,
pull out another.
