    Alex,
I can't help myself, I guess. Your post was not scrupulously on topic. Let it
    rest there.
The list functions both as a source of information and exchange on trawlers
and as a refuge from the kind of polemic your post introduced. It was simply
out of place and in this context unnecessary. I think that overall you've done
a great, albeit thankless, job as List Meister. I would not want to see a
change, although I would understand if by now you've had the s--ts of it. I
don't know why some threads go nuts like they do. There must be a bunch of old
farts like I'm becoming who also can't help themselves. Yes there is a delete
button, but that doesn't mean the list doesn't need rules. Keep the rules and
terminate the threads when they get the stupids. And terminate politics sooner
    rather than later.
On topic question: Is the Fortress aluminum anchor truly strong? I have a
Danforth 35H and am thinking of getting an FX-23 to replace it to save some
weight. Any comments on how they compare? Thanks
