A good ole hurricane will take your mind off silly political storms and
put things in their proper places every time. We in the Florida
panhandle wished Bonnie and Charley away (sorry they had to hit
anybody), and now we all have Frances to which we are going to have to
apply our mental powers. Hmmm... Pray for some advantageous steering
    currents NOW!

Hope you guys on the southeast coast are ready. If it hits as far south
as the Miami area, we will see it cross the "X" with Charley in Florida
(some poor souls are going to get a double whammy) and move into the
Gulf and possibly thence to our front door. Hopefully it would be
somewhat weakened after crossing the peninsula, but the Gulf is warm,
    which might allow restrengthening.

If I were trawlering near the Panama City area, I'd think about finding
a hole now or heading west about 150-200 miles west until about Saturday
when we see where this one is going.

If you are up the rivers and Tenn-Tom AND Frances actually heads off
into the guts of the southeast as currently shown on the NOAA site, be
ready for lots of water coming downstream.

After this year, nobody in Florida will be able to get or afford boat
and housing insurance. If we all take proper precautions with our
boats and homes and do not just leave them to the mercy of these storms,
maybe we can mitigate the financial after effects. You need to have a
pro-active and workable plan - then execute it. End of soap dance.
