Yup Larry I read it too long ago I'm sorry to say - one of the problems
I have with his writing is that it is decidedly preppy- too many visits
from local ambassadors (check his Pacific book) and in Airborne lots of
meal stuff and discussions about the whole library of videos - AHA ....
Maybe this was the forerunner of the Nordhavn Rally and DVD's? OK just
joking everyone!!! :-)
In later years when to talking to him (we supplied the charts etc for
most of his trips) he asked me what I thought of his son's writing. I
had just finished Steaming to Bamboola as I recall, and I had to admit I
thought Christopher a better writer - still do.
