If she ever does, it won't be from a treatment device...they ALL
macerate enough to completely liquify solids.

The only one anywhere near you is the Keys. That is, unless your marina
has its own rules. Since marinas are private property, they can make
    their own rules.

The only two products--at least, of those in wide distribution...there
may be some that are only available locally or directly from the
company--that will safe for use in it are Odorlos and Raritan K.O. So
you'll be ok. But there will be a lot of people who'll mistakenly
believe "bio-degradable" or "non-formaldehyde formula" on labels means
the same thing as non-chemical...and find out it doesn't when their L/S
    quit working.

However, even without any problems, the "hold & treat" system won't be a
panacea. Because the L/S can only handle a gallon at a time, and has to
cool off after every 2-3 gallons, it will take HOURS for it to empty
even a small tank...all day to empty a big one.

However, for those who can actually read and follow directions and who
cruise long distances after spending time in an NDZ, it will be a
workable device, and a FAR more environmentally friendly solution than
dumping a tankful of raw waste at sea.
