A couple of things come to mind...
Are you sure that you're seeing a "low salt" light (2 blinks/second) and
not a "low voltage" light (1 blink/second?) Low voltage can be due to a
low battery, corroded terminals, or other wiring problems.
If it really is a low salt indicator...
If you're FL or other warm waters, it's not unusual for the electrodes
to require cleaning every few months, 'cuz the mineral content in warm
water is much higher than in colder waters...but every two months is a
bit much, even in warm waters. Has there been a lot of rain recently?
Are you near the mouth of a river? If your only source of salt is a salt
tank, could it need refilling? Have you tried just adding more salt (2
tablespoons/one coffee measure) manually?
If none of the above applies, I'm out of ideas...you need to have a chat
with Vic Willman at Raritan...800-352-5630 x 6.
