T&T: Canvas replacement........??...

    Lynn,
        Don't you wish you had one of those snazzy laser thermometers now!
        High school physics still holds true. The darker the color the more
    heat it absorbs...period. We just recently had a bimini top made for our
    Manatee. It is "Pacific Blue" Sunbrella. That's the color of 90% of the
    bimini's in Florida. My Boston Whaler has a bimini made of "Toast"
    Sunbrella. As you can imagine, that is a tan color. It is absolutely
    cooler than the blue one. Having said that, we don't find the blue to be
    objectionably hot. My canvas man told me that he used Gortex thread
    because it is guaranteed not to rot out in the sun. However, I'm pretty
    sure that its not hurricane proof!
