    So we finally have pulled the old autopilot from Shibui (replaced it
    with a Robertson/Simrad unit). Rather than just relocate it to the
    dumpster, I thought I'd check and see if anyone desires (or know of
    someone that wants) older units as 'donor parts' for rebuilds?

    We kept the pump/power unit (for now - will replace that this winter
    when we can dig into the hydraulic lines), so currently have the control
    head, remote & binnacle on the block.

    We are in the Seattle area. Have no need for it, so it's free for the
    taking (but probably not willing to go too far out of the way for
    delivery).

    As far as we can guess, the binnacle is either on the fritz or needs
    cleaning/adjustment. I would guess the control head is fine, and the
    remote was hardly ever used so is likely OK as well. Symptoms were -
    well, let's just say we were better off leaving an unattended helm than
    turning on the A/P! (And no, we didn't do that...)
